The way you painstakingly rendered this image through pointilism reminds me of image of a graphed strange attractor equation. I think it is also very beautiful

wow, stunning work. to take something so fleeting and to render the image in such a time-consuming technique adds a unique dimention to the whole work, i think. beautiful. ^^

*nod* yeah, stipling rocks ^^ I once did a whole picture with tiny ink crosshatches, for that very same reason ^^

Ooh, I can imagine. I haven't done much crosshatching yet (new to pen and ink), but it sounds like a worthwhile project.

That is a sweet piece. I just tried to do something with ink wash, and I think I mucked it up horribly. Very big disappointment, but we'll see what happens if I try to do pen work on top of that.

Probably just end up in the trash, but I really need to try.
