Dad

My father, who I love a lot, and who I credit with my sense of humour, my love of reading, and what little common sense I possess. He's an impressive man, managing to be well-educated and well-read even though he never completed formal education. Needless to say, he's someone I've always looked up to a lot, and it's a wonder he ever put up with such a loon for a daughter.

Not that my brother's a whole lot better...

This is my Xmas present to the man, and it represents something very important to me. You see, my first girlfriend, everafter referred to as The Parasite, had once promised to do portraits of him and my now-late stepmother. Needless to say, like so many other promises of hers, this one was never fulfilled, although it was accompanied by repeated assurances of impending completion.

With this, I have finally done what she would not, and fulfilled my then-partner's promise. It's about damn time.
